"I am a former collegiate distance runner turned triathlete. After several years of competing at the sprint and Olympic distances I attempted my first 70.3 distance three years ago. Unfortunately, my performance at that distance the past two years did not meet my expectations.
As I prepared for the Kansas 70.3 this year I made a phone call to an old high school teammate of mine, Jimmy Moreno.
Jimmy has been involved in the sport of triathlon for over 20 years and I had recently joined his Facebook group. I phoned Jimmy to see if he could help me fine-tune my training program.
Jimmy re-directed my training efforts to help “harden” my body to the bike run transition by increasing my “brick” workouts. He also had me try some alternative fueling/hydrating techniques on the bike to help with sodium loss.
It’s hard to argue with results. I had a successful race and set a personal record. I only worked with Jimmy for a few months so I look forward to having him as my coach for an entire season."
